Although it is primarily a blogging platform (see our logo design blog for an example of a WordPress blog), it is also a robust CMS (Content Management System). In fact, our website is run on several WordPress installations including The Daily Logo and The Factory Floor. We’ve battle tested the platform in terms of reliability, speed and flexibility and have found it to be a great choice for the small to mid-sized website. Accordingly, we utilize WordPress in most of our web design projects, combined with static PHP pages. This gives us the most design flexibility while you can add content to your website using a standard web browser like Firefox, Safari or Explorer once your website is launched on your server.
WordPress is the number one blogging platform: There are millions of WordPress-driven websites, so support is universal with most web hosts. WordPress is widely supported by the open-source community, so the latest technological advances are supported quickly after their release.
Plugin expansion: There are thousands of WordPress plugins that can fulfill almost any requirement or function. Plugins are generally free-of-charge, or cost a minimal fee, so adding functionality is only a matter of time, rather than time plus software charges and licensing fees.
Multiple user levels: WordPress CMS sites can assign different access levels to different users, ensuring that important pages and content is ‘locked out’ from editing and/or code changes unless granted super-user permission.
Our web design packages start at $995.00.
