It was from that house that The Logo Factory began as a one-man-show, later becoming one of the innovators of new media design, especially when it came to working with clients through a virtual web-based studio. While it's true that we work with companies from all over the world through our web site - our portfolio features examples of projects for clients from the USA, Canada and over 40 various countries - our physical studio is located right here in Ontario, on the border between Mississauga and Brampton (see here for a map on how to get to The Factory). Brampton Web Design case study - MKG Cartridge Systems.

Brampton based MKG Cartridge Systems describe themselves as "an industry leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of compatible imaging solutions. We were one of the first companies to see the need for compatible laser toner cartridges, and to pioneer manufacturing systems that encouraged recycling while maintaining the highest quality standards". The company felt that their existing web site presence corporate identity design didn't reflect the professionalism. so they brought The Logo Factory in for a complete 'soup to nuts' work over of their website design. After meeting with the client on several occasions at their Brampton HQ, it was decided that nothing of the old site would remain - the site would be built from the ground up including navigation, icons, photo support and functionality. Using the client-supplied logodesign as a starting point, The Logo Factory designers built a series of clean, uncluttered interfaces (right) that were still heavy on ease-of-navigation. While MKG is headquartered in Brampton (just around the corner from our studios actually, their supply network is North America wide, so they wanted a way to interface with their sales force via the new site. Accordingly, and working closely with the client, our web design team also integrated the company's extensive PDF catalogue and brochure designs into the site for ease of download. We also created a custom back end server-side application to handle e-mail based inquiries and sales questions.

Project scope: Initial meetings, interface design file optimization, conversion to Web format and subsequent HTML image slicing. Note: Logo, photos and copy were provided by the client.
