A: Yes. In fact, all our stock logos are ONLY available for one-time purchase, by one buyer only. These designs have never been used before, and can be purchased with full copyright transfer included so any exclusive logo is yours and yours alone. Once an exclusive logo has been purchased, it is removed from our inventory and our website and no longer available for purchase by anyone else. Other stock and ready-made logo services permit multiple buyers to purchase the same logo. This is closer to clip art logos than we’re comfortable with.
Logos in a Box® is a perfect solution for web and graphic designers who may be struggling with a client project, or for the small business owner who wants a fast, economical solution to their branding needs. All the material in our inventory feature full customization – add your company name, corporate colors and any tag line – as well as all the file formats you’ll need for web and print use. For most businesses, we still recommend a custom brand work-up, but our pre-built stock logos will suffice for those on a budget. Or a serious time crunch.
Yes. After you’ve purchased a stock logo from our inventory, our designers can customize the design by adding your company name in suitable typography. We can also modify the colors, fonts and element relationships. After you’ve approved the customized artwork, we’ll supply you with ALL the file formats you’ll need to establish your new corporate identity. And as all our available designs are ‘rights managed’ – available only as exclusive buyouts – so you’re assured of a completely unique logo for your business.
Yes. When you purchase one of our inventory stock logos, it becomes your intellectual property, and you can use it as you see fit. That includes reselling the design to your client, as part of your services. As we remove the logo from our inventory once you’ve bought it, the source of the design will remain transparent.
Stationery design is not included with your Logos in a Box PRO purchase, but can certainly be purchased as an add-on service. As can all our design services. For your convenience, you can add stationery design as a additional purchase when checking out from the Logos in a Box store.
Proper file formats are a necessity (see here for examples of bad formats) and we’ve got you covered. When we have completed your new Logo in a Box design, you will be supplied with a variety of file formats, each with their particular use or application. What follows is a brief overview of your new file formats supplied with your LIAB purchase (for more detailed information see our logo & technical tutorial section).
.AI, EPS. The most important of all your formats are the vector based files delivered as .EPS and .AI formats. These are the industry standard file that you will require to print your new logo. This file also becomes your ’source file’ – ALL required formats can be generated from this file and this file can be edited at a later date for an endless variety of possibilities. Vector formats are unlimited resolution and will print ’sharp’ regardless of the image size. Editing of vector based formats requires appropriate design software.
Bitmap Formats:
.JPG, .PNG. .PS. Pixel (Raster) images are utilized for electronic reproduction (ie: your website) and for import into some office software depending on the color palette used (RGB vs CMYK). Bitmap formats cannot be enlarged without the image appearing ‘fuzzy’ or out od focus, but they can be reduced without issue. As these are not as versatile as vector based images, we supply you with a full range of sizes and types that are ready to use. It should be noted that most pixel based logos require four color process printing and are not appropriate for more predictable spot color printing. While bitmap images require software to edit (ie: Adobe Photoshop) they can be viewed in numerous software packages including most current web browsers.
PDF Formats:
Unlike vector and pixel based formats, .PDF documents do not require specialized software to view (other than the required free Acrobat Reader from Adobe – usually bundled with ALL web browsers). PDF documents can also be edited using Adobe Illustrator and other design software, and can be e-mailed to printers as a reference for any print job or design addition. PDF is quickly becoming the industry standard for artwork documents and is a versatile addition to any brand asset collection.
