Iconic imagery is always appropriate, even if modern technology passes the imagery by. Case in point, this logo for Frameworks Studios. Our designers utilized a film reel, even though technically most post and pre-production takes plan in digital formats using software like Final Cut Pro and After Effects. A film reel will always represent moving pictures, even in its digital format.
We also added a steelworker graphic to frame the ‘Works’ concept, adding an overall hand-built theme to the design. To make the logo slightly retro, we used an art nouveau style and composition. The Frameworks Studios title bar can also be used without the main graphic in situations where the total logo is inappropriate, or not possible due to aspect ratio concerns. Logos like these lend themselves to simple, flat styled animations.
