When developing logos and branded artwork for daycare centers, it is imperative that the logo exhibit a theme of warmth and community – especially if the brand is to be used for facilities specializing in the care of younger children. Daycare centers are advertising primarily to mothers and any logo developed has to be ratcheted back in the ‘woo-hoo’ department and color themes. Below, some alternative proposals created during the project.

Type Of Project:
Logo & stationery design
Brand development for Room To Grow, a day care center based in Alberta. As the logo and stationery involved very young children, we used child-like graphics and typography, as well as soft color palettes throughout the material.
The letterhead and business card design created as part of this project carried over the pastel colors and soft graphics. To make the business cards more “keep-worthy,” we placed interesting factoids, recipes and child-lay suggestions on the back surface. One featured a recipe on how to make home-made Play Dough.
