2016 marked the 20th anniversary of The Logo Factory studio, so it was only natural that we designed a logo to celebrate the occasion. The design riffs off our 10th anniversary design with the re-introduction of purple, our original corporate color, while from a technical point of view the design is color agnostic.
The logo had to work in several applications so it required a monochromatic (linear) one color version. Setups like these can be printed on anything, from coffee cups and pens by silk-screen or as die-cut vinyl cutouts by plotter. The logo also needed to work on colored backgrounds, so we needed a reverse build that still maintained the metallic look of the 3D cog. The logo was also incorporated into a book cover design.
