Reformatted our photo album pages from our old tour pages. The album is now database driven so we can update more frequently. At present, ALL images are in thumbnail size, but we’ll be adding larger versions as we go along.
Reformatted the Morgue Files area of the Warehouse. Added a selection of free downloads and scheduled more artwork for daily release throughout the week.
Finally! We’ve finished our logo design galleries in the Showroom. With the addition of business logo design gallery, that makes 320 logos. There’s only one duplication (but we’re fixing that now) so not a bad sampling of our work.
Still working on site updates. Some minor tweaks to the navigation bar that should help let people know exactly where they are in the site. Tricky little bit of CSS code took MUCH longer than anticipated. Still behind a few days for site launch. Looks like we’ll be adding content throughout the week. As such, you’re likely to run into dead links and some holes until then. Once again, thanks for your patience.
Just finished adding the 9th gallery of company logo samples to our new Showroom. That makes almost 300 examples in our logo design example slide shows. One more to go to finish them up.
Installing 301 redirects on a lot of the old site (a 301 redirect automatically redirects you to another page when the original is called). Over the next day or two, the site will appear to have a little bit of a personality disorder as visitors are moved from the old setup to the new.
We’re setting up the Flash animation examples portion of our Showroom. Should be finished in about 2 hours (2:30 EST).
Please note: Clients with active projects should still use the old Factory Floor entrance to access their work (your code remains the same. If you have any questions, please contact your designer or send a message to customer support).
A few hitches in content addition yesterday, but we did manage to get the stationery design examples gallery finished last night. Realistically speaking, full launch of the new site won’t be for two or three days. We’ll make an announcement on our blog, Twitter and Facebook when it’s completely done.
Steve D’s out of the shop today, but available by e-mail and cell phone later this afternoon.
Still transitioning content into our new format. All our Showroom galleries should be completed later this afternoon.
As you can probably tell, the launch of our new website is underway. To test our setup, new server and CMS we needed to switch over the DNS on Friday afternoon and go ‘live’ with what we had completed. Not the best solution, but after a great deal of hand-wringing and furrowed brows, we opted for a ‘soft launch’ followed up with a full launch early in the week once we’ve finished set-up and we’re sure DNS has propagated fully.
Accordingly, for the next couple of days, pages are going to be incomplete and the site will be a little ‘unfinished’ with content holes and placeholders throughout. Should have everything sorted out over the weekend and up-and-running nicely come Monday morning.
Clients can still log in to the project area via the old Factory Floor location. If you want to visit the old site and design galleries, we still have our legacy version available here.
Thanks for everyone’s patience as we transition to the new site setup.
