About: One might think that this was part of a design project for a real, honest to goodness safari park. Or a zoo. Uh-uh. It was actually one of a series of concepts for an company that specialized in importing African themed art and furnishing. The idea was to have this long-necked fellah as a ’sign holder’ – the artwork could be featured on store sign design and displays, with the variations combined with pricing, calls to action, etc. While this logo (with logo fonts – now removed) managed to get into the final rounds of concepts, it was ultimately discarded as being ‘too cute’. Though, as a free design, we can say the price is right. If you happen to own a zoo, all the better.
