About: A series of web icons developed for an online shopping web site back in 1996. In total, this web icon series featured a total of 36 icons created as vector illustrations in Adobe Illustrator. The project later ran out of funding and the icon design set remained unseen. Until Now. We’ve split the set up into 4 files, all of which can be downloaded as either .EPS or .PDF versions. In this set you’ll find icons featuring the following themes – SLR Camera, Box, Memory Chip, Office Chair, Desktop Computer, Surge Protector, Floppy Disk (remember them?) Monitor and Pencil.

About: While these icons are a little dated (old serial cables, floppy disks and a printer that looks like it belongs in the stone age), their ‘retro appeal’ may be of use for a similarly themed design. In this set you’ll find a total of 9 web icons featuring; Calendar, Printer, Joystick, Multimedia, Software Update (graphic contains an old-styled floppy disk), Gift Box, Mouse, Old Serial Cable and Gavel (suitable for Auctions).

About: It may seem hard to believe but a lot of love went into the creation of these icon designs and some of the detail may be lost if used at a small size. All 36 icons in this set are set up in non-extruded vector art, so you can pinch bits and pieces to use as you set fit. In this set – VHS Tape With Case, Floppy Disk with Printing Ribbon & Paper, Modem, Sale Tag, Shipping Crate, Test Drive, Calculator, Flat-Bed Scanner and FAQ button.

About: When these icons where originally designed (hard to believe it was that long ago) designers had yet to develop the pixel-by-pixel approach to icon design. As such, we simply designed icons, converted them into .jpgs or .gifs, reduced them to size and hoped for the best. In this final web icon series you’ll have access to the following – About Us, Service Terms, VIP Card, Questions & Answers, Cash Register, Assembly Line, Guest Book, Awards and a nifty little Shopping Cart. As amazing as it might seem, the original billing for all this work was in the thousands of dollars. A decade later you can pick them up as free stuff from a website. Amazing what a little time will accomplish…
All Morgue Files are available as .PDF and Adobe Illustrator EPS (Encapsulated Postscript) downloads. Due to the unlimited number of sizes and resolutions available, images are not available in pixel-based (raster) format (.JPG, .GIF, .PNG etc). Creating pixel-based images will require conversion from the original vector version supplied. EPS files may be compressed as ZIP files and will require the appropriate expander program. All Morgue File artwork, logos and icons are free to download and use, but there are a few conditions.
