Music Logos. Logo Design: Record Company, Radio Station & Music Companies

While a sub-category of the entertainment industry (and truth to tell, there is some overlap with our examples shown), over the years we've created so many music and musical themed logos that music logos deserves a category all of its own. Music companies encompass a wide range of themes - recording labels, record stores, radio stations and more. Design projects for this category generally have much more latitude than projects for more conservative industry types as companies involved in the music business generally want to appear creative, and 'cutting-edge' as most media types do. There are no hard and true rules (other than the usual technical restrictions that apply to any design category) suffice to say our designers are often encouraged to 'push the design envelope'. While it's important that musical logos are cutting edge, it's also important that they avoid being cliche, trendy, or utilize the latest design trend. What's this year's hot technique may be next year's outdated fad - and a logo that doesn't stand the test of time is not a smart investment.
