Create a logo - Synaptix Technologies software.
Behind the Design Scenes: Synaptix was created at the time of the 'globe and swoosh' phenomenon (illustrating both the perils of following a particular design fad and the longevity of a logo that doesn't). Still this is the kind of design that traditional designers sometimes have kittens over - it was once considered taboo to add a 'blend' to any logo, or for that matter, designing a logo were color is a factor. While the arguments have certain merit, the internet has created a demand for logos that are more colorful (clients are, for the most part, no longer hindered by traditional printing costs) and Synaptix is a perfect example (that's not to say that there is not an iconic BW version of this hi-tech logo - there is - but it was reverse engineered from the color version as opposed to the other way around).
Color matching between website usage (using RGB colors - Red, Green and Blue) and the different palette required for traditional printing (either the Pantone matching system or CMYK - Cyan, Magenta, Black and Yellow) is an art in itself, and often colors have to be adjusted manually (as opposed to a 'default' color switch by design software).
