Behind the Design Scenes: The Pack Your Bags corporate logo design is a perfect example of an simple iconic logo treatment. The visual references to a boat and an airplane are made up from minimalist, flat shapes combined over a circular shield to 'hold' the logo together. A low angle on the boat portion of the design gives an impression of size, while a subtle 'swoosh' gives the plane movement. The text portion of this logo features a thick outline which allows for a variety of colors to be used - depending on the medium to which the logo is being applied. The client selected a blue and orange color scheme, but any two color approach would be just as effective. This logo boasts ease of reproduction and can be converted quite easily into grayscale or black and white versions.
