Auto Logos - KME Motorsports Marketing.
Behind the Design Scenes: This logo is the simplest form of artwork imaginable. Simple character silhouettes, one color and block font treatment insure that this identity can be utilized in the widest variety of media possible. (this was the final version - insert is another proposal). KME is a non-traditional advertising agency that deals mostly with car racing and autosports marketing. Accordingly, they wanted their corporate identity to reflect this niche focus of their business. Once finalized the KME design features a F1 Racing pit crew, servicing and fueling an F1 race car. As KME are a European company - most of their market is concerned with the F1 Racing series as opposed to the CART series in North America, It was critical that the illustration, despite its simplicity, be accurate F1 racing fans are rabid in their nit-picking of details regarding their sport.
