Sailboat logo - Sail Bay Art & Photography Gallery.
Behind the Design Scenes: Often, other designers and artists find it difficult, despite their own talents and design skills, to create a logo for their own brand development. Over the years, The Logo Factory has created dozens of corporate identities and brands for other design studios and, in the case of Sail Bay - photography studios. Sail Bay was a simple iconic design project - a city scape background with a series of stylized buildings sitting atop an oceanic setting. The Sailboat (the owner's favorite) was tied into the design with a 'swoosh' - still quite popular when this logo was created. Over the years, swooshes and globes have become redundant, but luckily enough, the treatment of this logo was subtle enough to weather the backlash. (Another reason why clients should avoid design cliches and fads in their design treatments).
