Restaurant - Blend It Smoothie Bar.

Behind the Design Scenes: Blend It! Smoothie Bar is one of our designs that visitors often refer to as being one of their 'fave' company logos featured on our site. That's fair enough - but the logo has a caveat. There is no way to reproduce the logo in its full-blown glorious color (seen in the version here) without having to resort to four color process printing. While it's true that there is a black and white grayscale version (standard with all our logo design packages) it lacks the 'oomph' that the version above portrays. As the client wanted to include all (yes, ALL) of the types of fruit that were featured in their smoothies (at the time, this healthy alterative to milkshakes was just gaining traction) it was decided early on that a full-color logo was required (this in itself is not a big deal - however, it is imperative that the client know beforehand the limitations to this kind of design). Each element was created as a separate icon/element and then arranged into an effective design with the full-rendered blender. A paint brush type font was then worked up, and color highlights added to the individual letter shapes. Full color rendering is a favorite design type for restaurant logos.
