Cat Logo - Parallinx Oil Systems.

Behind the Design Scenes: Industrial company logos are featured throughout our galleries, but with the Parallinx logo we decided to show you a rejected design proposal, but one that our design staff are still pretty happy with (many of our design rejects are still first rate designs - we're currently making some of them available to select clients via our sister project Logos in a Box). Parallinx are a heavy industry company (working with oil rigs and well bores) and when it came time to rebrand the company they contracted The Logo Factory for the honors. Our designers imagined a Lynx (from the name) awash in a sea of oil and created the icon pictured above. Using photo reference, our designers created a graphical design logo icon (a graphical icon is something 'between' an illustrative and iconic approach) of the famous cat. Such a treatment demanded an unorthodox font treatment using various type elements and sizing.
