Tractor Logo - Powers Construction Group.

Behind the Design Scenes: Construction logos are often very simple - the complexity, or lack thereof, dictated by planned usage (professional signs, on the panels of heavy machinery, logo embroidery as well as standard marketing material). Powers Construction wanted a logo that was a little different than the norm (we had already designed Powers Real Estate house logo) and tasked our staff to explore some non-cliche treatments. To that end, our designers worked on this fully-illustrative design, featuring a heavy grader/dump truck, complete with accurate tire tread and complex equipment detail. The logo was monochromatic, which at first glance camouflages the detail nestled inside the outline of the house - in fact, many viewers miss the tractor portion of the design on first glance. A simple, yet ultra-bold font treatment gave the logo weight while avoiding competing with the icon for visual attention. This tractor logo remains one of our staff favorites.
