Behind the Design Scenes: If the overdone visual 'cliche' of the nineties was the so-called globe and swoosh logo, the 'gel' or 'chrome' treatment runs the risk of becoming the overused 'fad' of the current decade (running neck and neck with drop 'shadows'). While this technique was made famous by Apple, it was been around for a while.
