Behind the Design Scenes: The Shaped Reality logo is a design that's not impressive for what it is, but more for what it isn't. Namely - a 3D dimensional rendering. Which it isn't. Nope, this cube icon was designed as a flat icon using standard graphic design software, namely Adobe Illustrator, rendered using a series of sketches and preliminary designs. The client was after an creative icon that illustrated what they did - product design - and a three dimensional appearance seemed to fit the ticket. Using a series of carefully placed blends and shading the cube has a distinct 3D appearance, while remaining print and web friendly (yet another reason to deal with a professional when it comes to your corporate identity (This creative design is also featured in our Daily Logo Archivces under the product design company category).
