Behind the Design Scenes: Over the years, highly rendered illustrative logos have become a hallmark of The Logo Factory - probably due in part to our designers' illustration background and the original specialty of company founder Steve Douglas (originally trained as a professional illustrator). While these kind of logo is NOT for every situation, and certainly not for every company (imagine, for example, a bank with a cartoon logo. Doesn't exactly instill an air of professionalism, does it?) if an illustrative logo is professionally rendered, it can open up a entire new world of marketing possibilities. These kinds of brands are very popular on logo apparel and other premium incentive marketing (especially on sports related projects). Believe it or not, Froggie's Bait dock is but one of a few frog logo projects we've completed over the years. The logo itself is visually self-explanitory - the client wanted a professional treatment for his dock-side bait shop. Planned usages were a hanging sign (the logo was actually carved into wood - pretty much in the shape you see here) as well as Logo T Shirts and other POP marketing. Worries about color were minimal as little in the way of high-end printing was planned (a black and white linear version of the logo was supplied for use on business staples like invoices and receipts).
