Engineering logo - Blade Information Systems.
Behind the Design Scenes: Blade Information Engineering wanted a visual representation of their name (this logo was also developed around the same time the movie of the same name was released - an inspiration? Perhaps.) The logo was first created in low-key linear version (critical when a logo is to be used on a plethora of different types of media) and the silver blends added in once completed. A slight shear was added to the font treatment to give the entire design a sense of urgency and 'flow'. Despite it's complex appearance, this is a simple design, and is adaptable to most usages (though a separate set of file formats were required - as is the case with most of our projects and included in the pricing of most of our design packages). It was decided early on that the logo was to be monochromatic rather than more 'tah-dah' colors.
