Beaver logo - Canadian Comedy Award Show.

Behind the Design Scenes: The Canadian Comedy Awards Show logo was an exercise in design Canadiana - a beaver and a toque - combined with the quintessential standup comedy icon - the microphone. Designed primarily as a cartoon logo study, this logo was (and is) featured on all marketing material as well as stage decoration at the actual event - banners, t-shirts and perhaps most importantly - the winning awards themselves. To accommodate the wide range of uses, the Canadian Comedy Awards beaver was illustrated in various positions. One such illustration (not pictured) was transformed into a sculpture which was subsequently molded into the show award statuettes.
