Medical logo design - Med Card Medical Insurance.

Med Card is an emergency medical card that provides health care workers with a medical history, list of medications and allergies, emergency contact, primary physician, insurance etc. The cards are laminated and credit card sized to fit in wallet, and their purpose is to provide information at a glance for emergency and non-emergency settings (see We Care Pharmacy). With medical business logos, we are somewhat limited in what we have to work with. Usually the color red (in this case accented with silver) and a Red Cross symbol, itself a universally recognized brand for medical services. When working on the Med Card project, our designers paid particular attention to the aspect ratio of the logo. After all, one of the primary uses of this design was the Med Card itself, as well as the more tradition letterhead & stationery design, web site design and brochure design. Using bevels and modern type, our designers were able to capture the traditional medical imagery, with some modern sensibilities. At least the client, who is the most important critic of The Logo Factory work, thought so.

Inset Design 2: Seneca Health Services - Any medical logo design project must take into consideration the sensitivities of the institution, clinic or service. Medical logos CANNOT be too brazen, loud or cutting edge. The company logos are being designed for organizations and/or individuals who are providing medical assistance and/or health counseling to people who may have medical problems. A loud, garish logo is simply NOT acceptable in this scenario. Once such example is the Seneca Health Services logo, where our designers have used a combination of sensitive illustration, muted earth tone colors, and a traditional design balance to create a corporate identity that speaks volumes.
