Inset Design 1: Sigma V - Sometimes the meaning of a logo is hidden from the viewer through obscure imagery that when explained, elicits an 'ahhh'. Sometimes the logo name is clever, and the design should follow suit. Case in point - Sigma V, an investment advisory firm. That's 'Vee', not 5. The 'V' is a mathematical expression for capturing volatility, so the logo was designed to contain the Greek symbol for sigma in capital form. The full name of the company is Sigma V Investment & Financial Risk Management so the result of this logo creation process needed to be conservative, appealing to upper, middle class investors.
