Condom logos - Condom Smart.

Behind the Design Scenes: At the risk of sounding prudish, it's probably appropriate to tell you that this condom logo driven logo was the subject of an intense debate at The Logo Factory studios. When we were assembling the various galleries of corporate identity logos, the comical mark for Condom Smart was selected, and then rejected, then selected again. All due to the subject matter. Was this logo too risque for site visitors? Would it alienate some of our more conservative clients? At the end of the day, it was decided that the logo should stay - after all, for all intents and purposes the logo is a great example for someone looking for cartoon logos. It's also a great example of a mascot logo design. As a corporate identity, the logo works too - it's unique and memorable. It is a great illustration. Overall, the theme for condom smart was that of a health care issue so it was decided that yes, the logo would stay. The design itself is pretty self-explanitory - perhaps we should tell you, however, that the logo HAD to work on a black background (as part of their educational program - the character was to be printed on black T-shirts) so several graphic variants were necessary (as shown).
