Scout logo - Troop 524 Scouts.
Troop 525 wanted their new logo design to portray an atmosphere full of fun, exciting outdoor activities and events; hiking, rock-climbing, rappelling, canoeing, horseback riding, and swimming, all the while retaining a spirit of reliable, trustworthy character. The logo was designed to appeal to boys and young men between the ages of 11- and 18-years-old with emphasis concentrated on the higher end of that scale. The logo design was to be boyish yet cool for an 18-year-old (due to the young audience,"Uncool" was simply not an option).
Overview - Scout Troop 525 are a startup Boy Scout troop whose goal was to attract new recruits and grow the program. To do this they undertook and aggressive marketing approach to stand out from the existing, larger groups in their area. A new logo design was obviously part of this marketing campaign. The Scouts overall goal is "to establish substantial, stable, and long-lived youth groups for the Girls and Boys of area. Thereby making strong adults of both genders that will be useful and productive in any community they live in."
