Why you shouldn't use clip art in your designs

No Clip ArtWhy The Logo Factory is a clip art free zone. Using clip art in a logo defeats the entire purpose of having a logo in the first place. Nothing is as unprofessional than using a logo that someone else is using, ironically in an attempt to scratch out a custom piece of the corporate landscape. And using clip art in your logo is, for all intents and purposes, the same as copying someone else, without the legal hassles that come with an out-and-out rip. And even then, you may not be in the clear. Many clip art collections have stringent terms of service and most preemptively squash the idea of using it as part of any logo or image that is to be trademarked.. [More Clip Art]

Logo Designs

Once our clients have their new logo designs in hand, it's time to develop a complete 'look and feel' strategy. This is more than just letterhead design combined with a really dynamic presentation folder design Any logo designs' success can be partially gauged by how is can be utilized in ALL manner of reproduction. Many logo design examples fail the test, because they are too complex, or two 'scrambled' - that is, a logo that has no cohesive qualities, and cannot be used with various fonts, backgrounds and often, other logotypes and designs. Your 'look and feel' design has to be developed carefully, and from the ground up. With many of our designs, we also take on the responsibility of creating ALL the look and feel material, allowing us to stretch out designer 'legs'. Take a look at the logo designs above, and see how effective business logos can be utilized.

Logo Designs and file formats - what you need to know.

When you've finished working with The Logo Factory on your new project, you're going to receive a slew of different file formats and images contained in our Basic or Full File Format Bundle (dependent on the type of package you've purchased). Understanding these file formats can be crucial, especially for the do it yourselfer and is particularly true when you begin to utilize your designs in various forms of artwork and marketing activities. Designers can vary wildly in which kinds of file formats they supply, and even in which method they utilize to create your logo designs. Armed with a little knowledge, you can avoid unnecessary charges, both in production and reproduction as well as the resultant headaches and expenses. To that end, our designers have put together a File Format Survival Guide so that you'll know which files are useful, which formats are difficult to reproduce, and which kind of formats are completely useless. We'll show you why the template logos created by most do-it-yourself software are inadequate for most reproduction methods, and how designs laden with special FX are going to cost you thousands down the road..
