Logo Brief: In this era of discount online printing, Dairyland pride themselves in their competitive pricing, while still being able to retain full attention to service and print quality. It was this theme they wanted to portray as part of their a new corporate identity. When Dairyland contracted The Logo Factory for a new logo work up, Dairyland originally wanted 'earth tones' and a design that wasn't too 'warm and fuzzy' even as it reflected an organization that was "all business but friendly". When our designers took to designing the logo, they quickly came up with an alternative design solution - CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) cows featuring the four colors of process printing (for more on technical reproduction see our logo design library area) grazing on a farm scene, also in CMYK coloring. While the initial 'cow' concepts met with approval, it was ultimately decided to design a less radical logo - a milk canister and spilled ink. Pity - we still think the CMYK cows are pretty cool.
