About: Logo design for a new fast, casual, health food restaurant concept focusing on serving healthy and tasty fast food to the local downtown area (Chicago).

Logo Brief: This is a design for a hip, upscale restaurant and the owners wanted a brand that was "fun with a lot of edge". They also wanted a logo that was modern to reflect their downtown image. Alter Eatgo is a play on the terms 'Alter Ego' and is meant to reflect the company's healthy fitness menu as an alternative to the traditional fast food industry. The ultimate goal is to "provide tasty, low fat and low cholesterol substitutes for pop-culture fast food". While this design is technically an illustrative logo in nature, the simplicity of the various elements (as well as the lack of blends or other special FX) make it very adaptable for a variety of retail marketing and advertising applications.

When developing a logo for a retail outlet, it's critical that the logo be developed with all forseeable applications in mind. While the web is very forgiving for any type of design, the 'real world' has some very real requirements when it comes to the techical application of your logo.
