Logo Brief: As a financial, real estate solution and consulting firm, Beacon Diversified Solutions wanted their logo to contain a lighthouse from the get go. The client saw a lighthouse as a graphic representation of a 'reliable solution' to avoiding "dangers ahead", in this case the serious financial dangers of foreclosure and damaged credit. Beacon Diversified Solutions is also a property and mortgage note buying/investing business so the logo design had to be adaptable to a few business themes. While using a lighthouse as a central theme in any logo design project is certainly not anything new (in fact, it risks being a visual cliche if not handled appropriately by the designer) this somewhat unorthodox point of view helps carve out a more unique identity.

The stationery design package for Beacon featured a fairly conservative look, except for the business card backing (currently a popular trend among new ventures) which featured a more illustrative departure on the main logo. This was also used as a desktop wallpaper.
