Logo Brief: Medium sized wine, beer and spirit agent distributing wines, spirits and alcoholic beverages from around the world. Based in Toronto, Rubaiyat has clients throughout Ontario and several from across Canada. Rubaiyat has an ever-growing list of products and now represents over 100 producers from around the world. Main client is the LCBO (government liquor stores - all products are received from an agent). The client was looking for a logo that was "funky, groovy yet elegant" and as they were a fan of 'retro colors' this was to be the color scheme. The logo was not to be "too modern" as the alienate wine connoisseurs yet not 'old school' as to ignore the over 20 crowd completely. Logo was to appeal to those with an upscale lifestyle as well as containing some traditional elements due to the subject matter.
