Marketing Logos - MLMIQ Small Business Marketing consultant.
Client: MLM (Multi Level Marketing) IQ
Design Category: Advertising
About: A corporate logo design for MLMIQ - a training site for MLM (network marketing) companies featuring tutorials in online systems, lead generations, etc.
Logo Brief: In their initial project brief, MLMIQ requested a marketing logo that revolved around a yet to be created cartoon character. Adding a mascot or cartoon to a logo requires two steps - the development of the figure including the desired characteristics, and then the successful incorporation of that figure into a graphically sound logo. Even if the main design element is 'cartoonish', any logo still has to follow some general rules of reproduction compatibility. One has to be careful not to create a character that looks amateur (or even downright goofy) and one always have to be careful that the implied mannerisms of the character cannot be at odds with the goals or style of the company. Size may also pay a part in the amount of detail permitted as well as the type of cartoon required. As this logo was predominantly for use on a web site, it had to reproduce well as low resolution (72 dpi) and at fairly small (pixel width) size. For more on file formats and logo usage, see our technical articles library.
While this may seem a daunting task to the inexperienced artists, veteran logo designers like those found at The Logo Factory can usually wrestle a project of this nature to the ground. Our online gallery features many case-studies and examples of cartoon based logos created by our artists. See here for marketing help resources.
