About: A logo design for Mad Scramble - a company that plans and hosts hockey and ball hockey-themed birthday, class, and team parties..
Logo Brief: Mad Scramble Hockey offer a fully-refereed mini-tournament, where
the teams will "duke-it-out" for a replica Stanley Cup. They also offer skills competitions and other interactive hockey entertainment for children. Two "scramblers" (party hosts) are sent to the party location to entertain. Mad Scramble have also pioneered a "character through ball hockey" program which will run as a year-round league for youth offering competitive structured coach-free forums for kids to develop skills at their own pace, without adult pressures.
The logo as to look "cool", sleek, yet simple - but still had to appeal to kids 6-13 without being overly childish. It was to embody fun and character-building through hockey and also demonstrate sense of competition. Our designers were mandated to create logo that catered to the very essence of the business: the fantasy hockey theme and the "Stanley Cup dream", every hockey team kid's hockey fantasy brought to life. Should look good on a jersey... must be credible - parents are the buyers.
