Coffee logo - Cinnamon Grove Coffee Shop, Cafe & Deli
Client: Cinnamon Grove Cafe, Deli and Coffee Shop.
Design Category: Cafe, Restaurant, Music, Coffee shop
About: A logo design rework for a coffee shop and cafe franchise.
Logo Brief: One should never approach the decision on changing your current
logo lightly. One has to think about customer recognition
(especially if the logo has been around for a while), the
expense of changing corporate identity collateral - letterheads,
business cards, signage, etc. You may find yourself throwing
out a great deal of previously created material (timing a
logo makeover for release when previously printed supplies are low can help ease some of the pain).

Such was the case for Cinnamon Grove cafe and coffee shop franchise, who were looking at making a push into new markets. The client wanted their logo to be more 'trendy' and appealing to a 'hipper' audience while retaining the basic ingredients of the original mark. The client's old logo was quite nice, but they laughingly opined that the coffee cup appeared may be interpreted as a bowl of porridge. There were some technical limitations as well - the formats available were not always suitable for reproduction, and there was some spacing issues in the original text. Our designers approached this as an illustrative problem, adding color and detail to the main graphics, while a funkier font (complete with coffee bean) was added. The new logo was also created in vector format, so the usage could be universal. (logo now featured as in our logo examples gallery).
