Vodafone's re-tooled logoUK based design company Attitude Design dissects yet another notable corporate logo makeover, this time European telco giant Vodafone, one of the largest mobile telephone networks in the world. Unilke some of the recent corporate rebands, this one is more of a re-tooling while remaining a considerable improvement. Interesting to note the corporate tie-in between Vodafone and soccer giant Manchester United (though I’ve always been a life-long Chelsea supporter myself). Author Matt Davies also makes one great point that probably can’t be over-emphasized (especially to folks who’d like to diss ‘richer’ logo styles and color treatments):

I think as logo designers we tend to keep things very flat but the truth is in today’s world of digital technology we don’t need to worry as much about keeping things in block colours. Vodafone have pushed the boat out and I think that’s a great thing.
