If you’ll indulge a personal post for a few minutes, I’d like to take a few moments to send my lovely wife Sue, a simple, but heartfelt, “Thank You” on our anniversary. Sue and I have been married for four years today (the picture above is from our post-wedding reception at the house and yes, that’s our infamous pond in the background). Four years may not seem like a lot of time, but we lived together for over ten years before that, only deciding to make things “official” in August of 2006.
Throughout all our relationship, Sue has been my best friend and my rock – she’s seen me through a lot of great times, a few not-so-great times and some recent episodes in my life that were the most challenging I’ve ever had to deal with. She believed in me, even when I didn’t. And though she’s eminently smarter than I could ever be, Sue let’s me think I’m the boss, so everything always seems to work out. In terms of business, and The Logo Factory, Sue has been there from our humble ‘kitchen table’ beginnings.
When I was penniless and starting TLF back in 1996, she put company expenses on her credit card more times than I care to remember. She’s always been understanding when an unruly client, or a project with mission creep derails our personal plans. She listens to my rants, my raves, and is always enthusiastic when I ask her to “take a look at this” after I’ve pulled up some artwork or daft concept on my monitor. She is quite simply, the best thing that’s ever happened to me and without her, I’d be nothing. So Sue, on our special day, I’d just like to thank you for putting up with me, through thick and thin, for all these years, and tell you, as publicly as I know how, that I love you dearly.
Happy Anniversary.

Happy Anniversary Steve!!
Thanks honey, for the lovely words. While I may have been there for you, you have been there for me too. That is what it is all about.
“They” say we need the tough times to appreciate the good times. Knowing that we are there for one another maybe makes the tough times better times?
I love you dearly too,
S
Thanks hun! You’re the bestest!
(LOL – referring to Sue, not Malesh, who’s comment is nevertheless appreciated)
