Sound logos and music loops…

From the shameless plug department. As the shop moves more and more into multimedia (expanding on our fairly well developed flash logo animation service), we’ve noticed that one of the main points of contention is audio. Music logos and sound loops (that don’t sound like loops) are becoming more and more of a necessity for dynamic presentations and showing up more on clients’ wish lists. We’ve also been working on a Logopalooza Podcast and that too was in dire need of background (bumper) music. Well, without tooting my own horn (toot, toot) I’ve been messing around with music for years and recently branded my musical tinkerings as The Vox Underground under the logo you see here (also featured in our Daily Logo archives). Many of the loops and sound logos we’ve developed are now starting to appear in client work and other promotional material. It’s much more effective (and safer) to script original material than rely on freebie downloads (with ‘iffy’ copyright legacies) or to use out-and-out rips from established artists (just begging the RIAA to come a-callin’). We’ve just completed a ‘rough cut’ soundtrack for the upcoming Logopalooza Podcast series (listen here to the Logopalooza theme music in mp3 format) encapsulating, hopefully, the atmosphere of our blog. A Logopalooza music logo if you will, and something that works well with the little ‘Logopalooza’ dude. Some of the sounds are canned, others are ‘live’ while others are synthesizers (we’ll never tell which is which). Look for more on this in upcoming episodes of Logopalooza. And while we’re at it, how many blogs you know have their own theme music? Not many I suspect…
