boat logo 99designs again
Another day. Another 99designs contest. Again with the damn boat logo.

Folks, this stopped being funny a while ago.

    Hey Steve,

Yup – there’s always someone out there who tries to take short cuts and can’t be original.

The good news is – as usual the community was all over it – we received no less than 6 violation reports about it.

The design has since been withdrawn and the designer suspended.

Incidentally – someone posted this link in our comment thread:

I gotta say… hear, hear – I could not agree more. Well done!

I had made the same comment on our “friends” blog yesterday – but it seems they actually were inspired by you: http://bit.ly/cS398x

    Anyway, all the best.

Jason – thanks for taking care of that. Again. Though I should probably point out that even with six violation reports (as you claim), and “the community being all over it,” the logo remained in the contest gallery until after I posted a blog about it, and after that blog was bounced all over Twitter.

But while you’re here, seems the multiple Euroyacht ‘inspirations’ in another 99designs contest (as outlined here) still remain in the contest gallery, despite being reported back in February by several participants.
