Obama themed logos

A few months back, we took a look at the GOP & Democratic political logos. Before that, we turned a critical eye on the presidential campaign logos themselves. At the time we weren’t particularly fond of any of them, but it looks like we’re outgunned, with praises from the graphic design community being heaped on Barack Obama‘s logo, Obama Logoor rather the effective use of same. The mark, designed by Chicago design firm Sender LLC , has been turned into a series of themed logos on Obama’s website (a first rate effort), each appealing to a particular voting segment, be it Americans Living Abroad, Kids, Latinos, what have you. Media site Gawker opines that Obama is pulling ahead in logo wars, while Speak Up calls it The Hardest Working Presidential Candidate Logo and offers a full dissection on how the logo has turned into a powerhouse brand. Hyperempowerd states quite simply that Obama gets campaign logo right. Well, you get the idea. I have to give in on this one – while I originally thought that the design was a tad on the weak site (and wrote as much), its use as a multi-purpose family is nothing short of brilliant. Hats off to Sender and Co. And to Obama, natch, for apparently following the advice of the creative minds working on his marketing.

It is a very nice logo, but I would have put some stars in that logo, specifically in the white area of the logo.
