New Starship Enterprise - New Star Trek Movie

Okay, I know this has absolutely nothing to do with logos. Or design. But it’s still certain to set the hearts of Star Trek geeks (save me the hate mail, I’m one too) all a-flutter (and it is a slow news day). Early screen cap of the under construction Enterprise from the upcoming J.J. Abrams‘ prequel Star Trek 11 due out, unless I’m mistaken, next Christmas. Purists were terrified about this re-imagining, fearing that Abrams’ would take all sorts of liberties with the ship. You can relax now – looks like he’s being faithful to the old NCC-1701. For those interested in such things, there’s a new Star Trek teaser trailer playing with Abram’s heavily anticipated Cloverfield monster flick, opening ‘officially’ tomorrow night. Reviews of advance screenings have been decent, so I’m going to ask (beg) the Mrs. to go. Alas, she doesn’t share my enthusiasm for the sci-fi stuff…
