As promised a few weeks ago, we’ve been uploading our new site (that would be version 5.0) over most of the week. Trouble is, we can only upload pages off peak traffic hours, and the site can only be uploaded in chunks at a time. Looks like it will be mid next week before we get everything squared away. There’s still a lot of old stuff (our updated galleries have to be last to preserve site ‘flow’), missing content and a mess of ‘coming soon’ pages that are serving as place holders. Guess it kinda goes with the territory when we’re updating what is arguably one of the largest logo design web sites on these Interwebs. New features that we’ve managed to finish uploading includes our brand new Morgue Files area – download .eps and vector versions of rejected designs and studio ‘doodles’ that up to now were laying around our studio, collecting digital dust. In that same theme, we’ve added our new downloads page – some interesting TLF promo stuff – (nifty desktops including our 3D ‘House’) – that we’ve developed over the years. We’ve expanded our ‘about us’ section to include a little history of our studio – pretty neat to look back over the years. Not so good is the ‘giant floating head’ picture of yours truly – best I could do when working with my mug. We’ve also completely revamped our navigation so that (hopefully) visitors can more quickly find what they want. Plans to upload more new stuff this weekend are ‘iffy’ – the gang’s been putting in a mess of overtime to get this done, and the Mrs. is starting to get ‘antsy’ watching me hunched over my ‘puters for most of the last three months. She deserves a night out methinks…
