From the never-ending battle department: Looks like the good folks at 4 Ever Web Design enjoyed our who needs a logo article so much, they decided to make it their own. Helped themselves to six designs from our logo gallery too. Never ceases to amaze me when companies promoting themselves as logo designers don’t have any of their own examples to use, nor any of their own ‘expert’ logo information to impart. See here’s the thing – on a basic level, copying design work and website articles without permission and/or credit just ain’t cool. It amounts to stealing other people’s work as well as the time, and effort, they spent on it which is, as our mother’s told us, a pretty lousy thing to do. On a more pragmatic level, and as a client, it would make me wonder if their apparent aversion to originality carries over to paying gigs. Which is a very big deal if I’m doing the paying. This happens so often now, we could almost make a section on our website about it. Oh wait…
