Geez Laurie,

With you gone who is going to keep me up to date on the Canadian Holidays?
Or attempt to explain to me the inexplicable appeal of Hockey?
Or wish me a Happy Waitangi Day?! (yes, she really did this)
Or share our mutual disdain for all that is French?!
Or put the letter "u" in words like colour and favourite?!

*Sigh*

As you can see... your value to me went far beyond your obviously spectacular talent and quality of work. You not only tolerated all of my smart as.. uh.. alec remarks, and lame Canadian stereotypes.. but you typically fired right back at me with a wit superior to my own.

So the next time im in a canoe, or having some maple syrup, or a Molson beer or enjoying a Celine Dion song.......wait.... I will NEVER enjoy a Celine Dion song. Regardless, I will be thinking of you and hoping that you are having the best life possible and that you'll remember me as I remain, as always, your favourite (notice the "u") irreverant, unorthodox American friend.

*snif* bye Laurie. You're the best!

I will miss working with Laurie. Her creativity and ability to listen and reduce my expressed hopes on what I wanted a Logo to evoke in a viewer speaks for itself. She is an extraordinary technician, mechanic, and an artisan. No doubt she learned from talented coach(s). I look at TLF as my graphics design department, with Laurie as my lead designer, I wish her the very best in whatever she does, I’m sure this is a bitter sweet day for her as she leaves her associates, friends, and clients. I’m glad I clicked through the website and met her, she will be missed. Oh my goodness does that make her a legend in your own time…could very well be don’t think so…just look at all the logo’s scattered around communities near and far, no joke. Good bye for now Laurie.

Laurie,

We'll miss you so much. It's been a pleasure working with you... you are an incredibly talented designer and you've done such great work for us. You've made everything so easy for us through the process. I only hope our new designer can fill your shoes... :)

We wish you all the best.
