One of the toughest things to accomplish (especially with logo cleanup, a process we like to call logo repair) is the identification of the original font. If we can’t ID the original font, we have to hand-vector new artwork (a time consuming process that still only gives us a ‘best guess’ version). Identifont is a nifty web site that can help you figure out what font you’re looking for. Using a series of form-based questions, the site scans through font libraries from over 200 publishers and ‘figures out’ what font you’re looking for. It’s actually fairly creepy how well this thing works…
