The Logo Factory Studio NewsSome of you have already sent in the e-mails – “what happened to Logopalooza?” – and probably best to post a quick note to ’splain. Logopalooza has moved to her own domain (logopalooza.net). Haven’t finished formatting the new version yet (it’s in the ever-increasing pile of things we need to get to) so we’re not linking up to it just yet. What’s the story? Well, as you may know we’re in the midst of a total site overhaul (you can read about it here) and while Logopalooza was a very cool ‘brand’, all of its own, it didn’t quite fit into the ‘look and feel’ of the new site. We tried, and tried again, but couldn’t get LPLZA to get comfortable in her new skin. And as we’re supposed to be all about that ‘branding thing’, we decided to move Logopalooza to a sparkling new domain all of her own (you can still download Logopalooza, our free logo book) here.

We’ve changed the name of our logo studio blog to The Logo Factor (catchy, huh?) and reworked the interface and layout to be more copasetic with V5.0 of The Logo Factory corporate site. Moving LPLZA to another domain also gives us a little more freedom to discuss, rant and debate about things logo – having LPLZA on our corporate domain always left the impression (rightly or wrongly) that we had an axe to grind (ie: pushing our services). Having an independent domain allows us a little more freedom to tackle industry issues without fear of ‘treading on peoples’ toes’. Once we’re up and about, we’ll give you the link. In the meantime, hope you enjoy our new studio blog.

Comments, as always, are welcome.
