It used to be said in Hollywood (actually, it probably still is) that “you don’t mess with the Mouse”. Mouse as in the Disney Company who are renowned for being relentless in their protection of various properties, including logos, trademarks and images. Well now, it seems that someone wants to have a go at the Mouse for messing with their logo. Namely, Hells Angels who claim that Disney’s upcoming movie Wild Hogs infringes on the Angels’ trademark name and skull logo (hey, what have we been saying about protecting your logo design?).

The movie, about a group of motorcycle riders, has not yet begun filming yet, but Hells Angels (full, ahem, legal name – Hells Angels Motorcycle Corporation) have already filed suit in the U.S. District Court of California. The Hells Angels Motorcycle Corporation was formed in 1948 in California’s San Bernardino area and describes itself as (ahem again) a group of “motorcycle enthusiasts”.

A Disney spokesman said the suit was without merit. Though he probably said in anonymously. And behind a really big cop…
