Imagine. Going to all the trouble, and expense, of having a new logo developed, only to have it referred to as a ’squished spider’.
Haringey Council has come in for fierce criticism over semi-secret plans to introduce a new corporate logo. The rebrand, which has cost £9,000 in design consultant’s fees, was torn apart by Liberal Democrat councillors at Monday night’s overview and scrutiny committee – where it was revealed that even Labour’s non-executive members hadn’t seen plans. The new logo – which Haringey Council refused to provide to the Journal – is launched next month and has been described as looking “like a squashed spider” by committee member and Crouch End Liberal Democrat David Winskill.
Wow. Tough crowd…
