Free Web Icons

Finally got around to updating our Design Morgue Files this afternoon. Added a whole mess (36 to be exact) of free web icons – available for download in both EPS and PDF (in vector format, natch). These nifty icons were designed by yours truly way back in the Dark Ages (1996), for a then in-development computer accessories shopping site. Alas, the project ran out of funding, the web site was scrapped, and the unused icon artwork never saw the light of day. Until today. Some of the icons are fairly dated – you’ll find floppy disks (remember them?), old-school modems and VHS tapes. However, they’re still pretty nifty, and maybe someone who’s going for a retro-look can put ‘em to good use…

Thanks for these! I think they’ll come in handy on a project that I’m working on right now.

  2. Thanks Simon. I was afraid the icon set would be a little ‘dated’. It’s a pity they weren’t used when they were current, so I’m glad that you can find a use for them.
