Yup, got my 4th wave now. When I complained months ago, they eventually removed my fax #, but I'm convinced it just goes into a pool so they can re-use it later, and then claim "it's in the system" for 7-days while they spam you again.

I have left messages on their automated system (daily), called every fax that comes in and leave messages on their sales and servicing contacts - to no avail.

I am keeping them in a pile in case I need legal action later. Anyone have any suggestions that might actually work?

When I received the first fax from this outfit I resisted the temptation to comments here.

The first junk fax was on September 13, 2011. Although junk faxers are supposed to provide a toll free number, I had to pay for a long distance call to a 416 number to try to get my fax number removed. Since the fax did not satisfy the requirements set out by the CRTC I sent it to them along with a nice letter.

It is now two days later and I have another junk fax from the same outfit flogging the same thing for the same advertiser. This one, too, does not satisfy the requirements set out by the CRTC so it will also go to the CRTC.

These idiots have been sending our company 30+ pages of spam every day, this is utterly ridiculous. Does anyone have the contact info to the CRTC or whoever is required to file a complaint against? This is wasting resources like crazy, what kind of morons are running this company

Optimist - I'm not spitting in anyone's face. I'm just asking them to stop using my FAX machine, toner and paper to send me advertisements that I have no interest in.

I must say, contrary to all that is posted here, that fax broadcasting companies, FaxTarget in particular, are in fact most useful to small businesses. I founded a small entertainment-based company some years ago, and fax broadcasting (through FaxTarget, I may add) has been instrumental in building my client base. And from people I've talked to, I'm certainly not alone. I receive fax advertisement on my home fax machine and personally find them informative and not at all invasive. As do many others I know. I think it's a shame that people have so little patience with others just trying to make a living.

I have gotten some extremely rude calls about my advertisements and have been called some absurdly petty things. I understand that people get frustrated, but I personally could not believe the level of hostility people may harbor towards another person just trying to make a living. That, in my eyes, is "chutzpah." Don't you dare trumpet your mores and have the audacity to spit in the faces of people trying to make their way, same as you.

Hey Eric,
Why don't you go **** yourself? I have called every ****** day for the past 6 months. I have done what you are asking for in terms of having the number removed, and you, and Anna, and Yvonna refuse to stop. I'll get rightously cheeky with the lot of you. If you don't stop faxing me I'm calling the police tomorrow at 7:01 pm and I am filing a harrassment charge.

You can explain to the boys in blue about who is seriously cheeky. In fact, why don't you get cheeky with the boys in blue, and maybe they will give you some nice cheeky handcuffs!

Personally, I was receiving these faxes and removing numbers for 6 Months to no avail. I have a home office where I have a fax just in case I need to use it. It has its own stand alone number, so all attempts to remove myself from Faxtarget's removal system has failed. One day I got 30 pages!! That is more than pennies and toner is expensive!!! I have sent a complaint to the CRTC with all the dates and times that I have used their automatic removal system, as well, to be sure, I removed every number ever associated with this household, just in case they called it a "rollover" number. I have now started each time they fax me, I fax the bunch back to them with a note to remove my numbers. The other thing I am doing as time permits, is calling each of the advertisers, getting their fax numbers, and faxing the whole whack to them telling them to have their "fax target" to leave me alone, and that I a complaining to the CRTC and Better Business Bureau. Again, when I have a bit of time, I intend to write our Member of Parliament, and list not only Fax Target, but each of the companies that continue to send unsolicited faxes to my home. I spoke to one business owner whose fax came through and he had no idea that this company was harrassing homes and individuals under his company name and that Faxtaget did not remove our number despite 6 months of requests to the removal line, and was immediately discontinuing using their services. At some point I am hoping maybe they will just leave us alone with our ancient fax machine in a little home office and realize that the only business they are creating is an angry mom who will find the time to call everyone, write everyone, and tell everyone that Faxtarget does not target its audience. Good luck!

Theres spam in a can, spam emails, spam faxes, spam on tv, radio, papers, spam flyers,if you cant sollicitate you cant sell.
I will sue the fax spammer, pay for my lawyers, and get a 5 cents jugement at 1 cent a page.
So lets close all our businesses and get a welfare check.
Come on, throw the faxes in the garbage and fax a few curriculums to get a real job !
