The 2006 version of the European Logo Design Annual (web site: EuDLA) logo contest has been announced. Described as a “high-profile graphic design award scheme that will reward the finest logos designed (strangely enough) in Europe”. The official deadline is May 31, 2006 (though late registrations – until June 10, the final, FINAL, deadline – will be accepted until with an additional €25 late fee). Prizes? Well, there’s publication in the book (see blow) and more –

Each year the winning entries will be rewarded with prestigious design objects created specially for Eulda: the “Best of Europe” trophy for the overall winner, and a “Best of Nation” trophy for the best entry from each country.
For each winning entry, both the agency and the client will also receive a complimentary personalized certificate.
Winners will also receive a listing on the appropriate winner’s page, a 50% discount on unlimited copies of the book and discounts on entry to Eulda ’07.

The contest is restricted to European designers, agencies and studios (including the UK, all Scandinavian countries, all EU countries, etc). Visit the European Logo Design Annual – 2006 web site for more of the straight goods…
